The 2026 Métiers d’Art collection keeps the codes, but changes the way we meet them.

CHANEL 26PF Arrives on a New York Subway Platform
A disused subway station became the stage. When the train doors opened, leopard, suits, pearls and denim spilled onto the platform. Each person looked as though they belonged to a different New York story rather than a single CHANEL ideal.
The first model appeared in a white top, zip-up layer and faded denim, with the unforced mood of a student. She was Bhavitha Mandava from Hyderabad—the first Indian model to open a CHANEL show.
For her Met Gala debut months later, Mandava returned to that casual silhouette in CHANEL Haute Couture. The white tank, half-zip and jeans-like trousers required about 250 hours of work.
The trousers were made from silk mousseline, not denim. Trompe-l’œil print created the worn effect, and hand-finishing completed the illusion. It looked everyday only because the craftsmanship was so exact.

Why CHANEL Tweed Jackets Feel Surprisingly Relaxed
The jackets are layered with denim and softened beneath coats rather than presented as precious formalwear. The effect is luxurious without being loudly luxurious.
Embroidery imitates denim and bouclé takes on the character of flannel. Lesage, Goossens, Lemarié, Atelier Montex and Maison Michel place exceptional Métiers d’Art skill inside familiar-looking clothes.
Matthieu Blazy’s idea is not to reduce the craft, but to let it live more quietly in the city.
