Loli Bahia and CHANEL | Tweed Jackets, Camellias, and Runway Moments | HK

ロリ・バイアとシャネル|CHANEL ツイードジャケット、ランウェイ&キャンペーンの軌跡

If you follow CHANEL’s runway shows and campaigns, one model keeps appearing at key moments: Loli Bahia.

From classic tweed jackets and camellias to Métiers d’Art, Cruise, and a dress first seen a century ago, her work with CHANEL shows just how differently the house’s codes can come alive on one woman.

Who is Loli Bahia? | Born in Lyon, with roots in Algeria and Spain

Loli Bahia was born in Lyon, France. Her father was born in Spain and her mother was born in Algeria, so she grew up moving between France, Algeria, and Andalusia.

Music came before fashion for her, and she studied trombone at the conservatory in Lyon. In 2018, she won the EGERI TOUR model competition, signed with WOMEN, and went on to walk for major houses including CHANEL.

CHANEL 2022 Métiers d’Art (22PF) | le19M and her first CHANEL campaign

One of the earliest CHANEL projects that clearly marks Loli Bahia’s rise is the 2022 Métiers d’Art collection, presented at le19M in Paris. The show put the work of the house’s specialist ateliers, including Lesage, Montex, and Maison Michel, at the center of the story.

In the campaign, Loli appeared alongside Adit Priscilla and Mica Argañaraz, photographed by Mikael Jansson. She was not only on the runway; she also became one of the faces used to communicate CHANEL’s Métiers d’Art world.

2023 Métiers d’Art (23PF) | From Dakar to Tokyo

The following Métiers d’Art collection, shown in Dakar, also featured Loli on the runway. In June 2023, CHANEL staged the collection again in Tokyo, and Loli’s name appears there as well.

Her Instagram posts from the trip leave a softer, more personal picture of the city beyond the show itself.

CHANEL Fall-Winter 2023 (23A) | Camellias, tweed, and the opening look

Fall-Winter 2023 placed the camellia at the center of the collection. A giant white camellia filled the set, and the flower reappeared across tweed, embroidery, buttons, and bags. Virginie Viard brought the camellia forward once again as one of CHANEL’s lasting house codes.

Loli Bahia walked the first look of the show. Vogue Runway identifies her as the model for Look 1, and she also went on to appear in the campaign for the same season.

Since Coco Chanel’s time, the camellia has been one of the house’s most meaningful codes, returning again and again in clothing, hats, and jewelry. In 23A, that symbol comes to the front, and it gives Loli Bahia’s opening look an especially strong CHANEL identity.

In 2024, from CHANEL’s bride to a dress first seen in 1924

For CHANEL’s Spring-Summer 2024 Haute Couture show, Loli closed the runway in the bridal look: a short dress covered in floral embroidery, with tulle sleeves and a long train.

Later that year, at Vogue World: Paris, she opened the event in a gold evening dress recreated from a CHANEL design published in 1924. Put beside the original Vogue image, you can immediately see how the long line, low back, and rich decoration were carried into the present.

CHANEL Cruise 2025 (25C) | A tweed jacket in Marseille

In CHANEL Cruise 2025, presented in Marseille, Loli became one of the faces of the campaign, photographed by Jamie Hawkesworth. In the light of the city and the sea, the tweed jacket takes on an easier rhythm through sporty details such as a hood, snap fasteners, and shell embroidery.

The CHANEL Spring 2026 campaign (26S) | Her casting continues into the next era

Loli Bahia also appears in CHANEL’s Spring 2026 campaign under Matthieu Blazy, photographed by Alec Soth.

From Virginie Viard’s Métiers d’Art and ready-to-wear runway to CHANEL after a creative transition, she keeps returning across very different collections, which says a great deal about her range as a model.

Loli Bahia on Instagram | A more personal side in Tokyo

Instagram shows a different side of her too, one that feels looser and more personal than the runway.

She also spent time in Tokyo. From the post, it feels like she really enjoyed being in the city, and it is lovely to see that she left behind so many little moments from Japan, not only the CHANEL show itself.

With camellias, CHANEL tweed turns romantic; in Cruise, it looks sportier and lighter. Following Loli Bahia across these moments makes it easy to see how the house’s codes keep changing expression from one era to the next.
