Jennifer Lopez makes CHANEL 19A tailoring look effortless

British Vogue covered Jennifer Lopez’s March 2020 dinner look: a checked CHANEL suit worn in West Hollywood.

The high-waisted two-piece was styled with a fitted white roll-neck, black heels, a CHANEL Classic Flap bag and gold hoop earrings. It is crisp, beautifully balanced tailoring—the bold check leads, while the monochrome accessories keep it elegant.

The suit belongs to CHANEL Autumn-Winter 2019/20 Ready-to-Wear, known as 19A. Shown in a snow-covered Alpine village set, the Autumn 2019 collection was Karl Lagerfeld’s final CHANEL ready-to-wear collection created during his lifetime.

Tweed, sequins and silk stop the single-colour look from feeling flat. The long vertical line of the coat is stately, while those wide trousers add just enough sweep for such a grand setting.

Turned away from CHANEL, without a hint of drama

In August 2025, a shopping trip in Istanbul took an unexpected turn when security stopped Jennifer at the door of a CHANEL boutique and told her she could not enter.

Nikkan Sports reported that the boutique was full. Jennifer simply replied, “Okay, no problem,” and moved on. No performance, no demand for special treatment—just immaculate composure.

Staff later tried to welcome her back, but she reportedly continued shopping at Beymen and Celine instead. She did not chase the invitation and she certainly did not let it ruin her day. Rather fabulous, really.
