CHANEL 12S made white a stage for material

For Spring-Summer 2012, giant white coral, shells and seahorses turned the Grand Palais into an underwater landscape. White supported pale pink, ice blue and seafoam, while pearls and iridescent surfaces recalled moving water.

Wearing pale tailoring beyond formal occasions

A friend who wore white regularly found that visible marks made her slightly more attentive to meals, drinks and where she placed a handbag. It was a practical response to the garment, not a claim that colour changes character.

Combining pale tailoring with denim or a simple knit prevents it from becoming occasion-only clothing and makes care routines easier to understand through regular wear.

Caring for white and ivory tweed

Avoid spraying perfume or hairspray towards the garment, and protect pale tweed from long periods of strong light and damp conditions.
