Koki Debuts on the Runway at the CHANEL 2019-2020 Cruise Collection

Koki, the beloved daughter of Takuya Kimura and Shizuka Kudo,
made her runway debut.

I remember being surprised
because the Chanel collection rarely features
Asian models to begin with.


Koki had aimed to walk the runway
for a global brand.

 

She independently tried out for an audition
at the Chanel studio on Rue Cambon in Paris
at the end of January.

The booking was confirmed three months later!

 

Held in Paris on Friday, May 3, 2019

 

 


This was her debut in the first collection
by Virginie Viard, who took over from
the late Karl Lagerfeld.

We look forward to her future endeavors.
