CHANEL Spring-Summer 2018 (18S) brought a working waterfall, transparent PVC and luminous tweed together inside the Grand Palais.
Karl Lagerfeld used clear rain pieces to frame colour rather than cover it, creating a collection that looked futuristic without losing the CHANEL jacket line.
The runway was extraordinary; the separates remain remarkably adaptable.

CHANEL 18S / 2018 SS | Water, Light and Transparent PVC
Presented in Paris on 3 October 2017, the ready-to-wear show recreated the Gorges du Verdon with cliffs, falling water and a cave-like opening.
Clear hats, capes, bag covers and high boots layered over fringed tweed, denim and pale dresses, preserving the colour beneath while sharpening the silhouette.

Jennie wore a pink tweed dress to a CHANEL fragrance launch in France on 7 June 2018, adding a compact and feminine contrast to the runway rainwear.
