CHANEL Spring-Summer 2021, known as 21S, brought together enormous CHANEL lettering, a runway that felt like a film set, pink tweed and N°5 buttons. It is polished, but never too serious.
Presented on 6 October 2020, the collection made classic CHANEL jackets feel lighter and more spontaneous. Tweed appeared with T-shirts, shorts and flat sandals rather than being reserved only for formal occasions.

CHANEL Spring-Summer 2021｜The character of the 21S collection
Designed under Virginie Viard, the collection looked back at CHANEL’s long relationship with actresses and cinema, then translated those references into light, colour, logos and relaxed styling.
21S is classic CHANEL worn without unnecessary formality.
The jackets remain beautifully constructed, but the styling leaves room for movement, humour and everyday clothes.
The Grand Palais runway｜A Hollywood-inspired CHANEL sign
The show took place inside the Grand Palais in Paris. Giant illuminated CHANEL letters recalled the Hollywood sign, turning the runway into something between a fashion show and a film set.

CHANEL 21S tweed jackets｜Pink, N°5 buttons and relaxed proportions
The tweed jackets were slightly roomier through the shoulders and body. Black and beige tweed appeared with silver-tone chain trim and N°5 buttons, while light pink offered a softer colour that works with black, white or denim.

Charlotte Casiraghi in the CHANEL Spring-Summer 2021 campaign
Charlotte Casiraghi appeared in the campaign as a CHANEL ambassador and spokesperson. Sunglasses, natural hair and an unforced way of wearing the clothes made the collection feel glamorous without looking overly formal.
