CHANEL 2018 SS 18S | The Grand Palais Waterfall and Transparent Layers

Shown in Paris on 3 October 2017, the Spring-Summer 2018 ready-to-wear collection turned the Grand Palais into a landscape inspired by the Gorges du Verdon.

Transparent rain hats, capes, bag covers and tall boots sat over fringed tweed, denim and soft dresses, allowing colour and texture to remain visible.

Iridescent CHANEL 18S Tweed and Jennie’s Pink Tweed Dress

The official CHANEL post describes brightness, transparency, iridescent tones and shimmering tweeds, all visible in the changing light around the falls.

CHANEL 18S Tweed | Layering Jackets, Skirt Suits and Coats

White, ivory, blue and soft yellow sit easily over a white shirt or fine knit. Dark trousers or denim give the colour a simple base, while the full skirt suit suits more formal occasions.
