A sign to "embrace temptation!" Camellia?!

「誘惑を受けましょう!」のサイン、カメリア?!

The camellia, an iconic element of Chanel, was

reportedly first used as an embroidered design on a blouse in 1922.

The camellia was considered exotic, and

at the time, it reportedly had the image of a "forbidden flower."

Furthermore, Dumas' world-famous story "La Dame aux Camélias"

was one of Coco Chanel's favorite books, and

it was said that a woman wearing a camellia was understood to be

"ready to be seduced."

What an interesting legend.

The camellia, having no scent, also had the advantage of not competing with Coco's perfumes,

and from then on, it was increasingly used in the clothes she designed.

When you gently turn a tweed jacket inside out,

you catch a glimpse of camellias blooming all over the silk fabric...

It certainly changes your perspective a bit.

The tweed jacket continues to captivate viewers today.
