Le Train Bleu was created for Diaghilev’s Ballets Russes: Jean Cocteau wrote the scenario, Bronislava Nijinska choreographed, Darius Milhaud composed the music and Gabrielle Chanel designed the costumes. Picasso’s beach runners appeared on the front cloth.
