The CHANEL 25 places quilted leather, a leather-interlaced chain, two front pockets and the double C on a rounded hobo silhouette.
Unlike a Classic Flap, it is not intended to look perfectly rigid. The bag settles against the shoulder and its shape changes subtly with the contents.
CHANEL currently presents Mini, Small, Medium and Large versions. Margot Robbie and Kylie Minogue appear in the campaign, directed by Michel Gondry 25 years after he made Minogue's Come Into My World video.

Gabrielle Chanel created the 2.55 in 1955. The shoulder chain allowed women to carry a handbag while keeping both hands free.
Quilting, a chain and a flap later became some of the House's most familiar handbag details. A newer design can therefore become softer or larger while remaining clearly connected to CHANEL.

CHANEL advises owners not to overfill a handbag and to avoid prolonged exposure to light and humidity. If the bag becomes wet, the area should be dried carefully with an absorbent, non-pilling cloth.
For storage, chains and straps should be wrapped in tissue paper and the bag kept upright in its pouch. This is particularly relevant where humidity is high.
