For international customers reviewing cross-border listings, these confirmed 2017PF–2023S cases include jackets, dresses, knitwear and denim. No listed year should be read as a claim about every piece in that collection.
We match product numbers, typefaces, labels, spare fabric and thread to authentic records.
Authentication:
TC JAPAN photos, logo removed, mixed with seller shots; most fake.
Ivory/black “94305” mismatch; number/panel mismatch. Some near half price, 3 Nov 2025.

A counterfeit knit dress copied the buttons, knit motif and product-label numbers; a customer bought one. Its slight typeface difference made this example easier to identify when the two labels were compared.

A denim jacket bought on a person-to-person marketplace was difficult to judge at first glance. Comparison with our button, label and construction data found clear differences. The counterfeit typeface was the first sign, with further small inconsistencies; more detail will be published only with the customer’s permission.

Counterfeits have reached 2021 Pre-Fall and Métiers d’Art, including listings on widely used platforms and pieces identified during pre-purchase enquiries. Complex designs are now copied closely; examples after 2021 even include a paper envelope for spare fabric. Another 21PF jacket was bought for ¥190,000.

Multiple online listings have been confirmed. Because the differences are minute and publishing every detail could help counterfeiters improve, we do not disclose the complete checklist. Examples include a near-matching label typeface and counterfeits supplied with spare thread.

High-priced peer-to-peer fake, also on several sites. Garment/tag mismatch: another design’s product number, repeated across borders.

Side-by-side labels expose a typeface difference that is hard to judge from one international listing. Celebrity-worn models such as this Jennie look attract repeated counterfeit offers.

Many 23S counterfeits have been listed and some bought at high prices. Faint print can occur on an authentic label, while a counterfeit may look convincing. Ink density and first impressions alone are not enough.
