Cross-Border CHANEL Transactions: 6 High-Value Cases | INTL

Cross-border sales add distance and more handovers.

Ratings and tracking help, but do not tell the whole CHANEL story.

These six cases show what to record.

Six High-Value CHANEL Cases from Cross-Border Transactions

01

Strong ratings and a high price—yet not authentic

“More than 600 positive ratings, and a price close to the boutique. It looks safe.”

Purchase → inspect in person → discover it is not authentic

This happened with a 2014 Fall/Winter knit dress. A 2015 Fall/Winter jacket bought on Mercari had the same problem. Another item sold on Yahoo! Auctions for about ¥150,000 and even received positive feedback.

→ Ratings and price are reassuring signals, but neither proves authenticity.

Tracking says “delivered,” but the order is missing

“The tracking page clearly shows it was delivered.”

Check tracking
→ delivered scan
→ parcel or area does not match
→ ordered item never arrives

→ Save the tracking screen, parcel weight, origin, delivery area and shipping label immediately.

High ratings, tracking and a high price can all look convincing. None of them, by itself, means a transaction is completely safe.

03

“Good condition” looked very different on arrival

“Lightly worn. Still very wearable.”

Arrival
→ large perspiration marks / pilling / holes at the cuffs

→ For clothing, check photos of the underarms, cuffs, hem and lining—not only the front.

04

“Close the case first. I’ll refund you later.”

“If you close the case, I will issue the refund.”

Item does not arrive
→ open a case
→ asked to close it
→ keep it open and contact official support

→ Do not end the procedure before the refund is confirmed. Keep messages on the marketplace.

What actually happened to us as the seller

An attempt to keep both the item and the money
Payment placed on hold

Ship a ¥430,000 jacket overseas
→ payment dispute just before arrival
→ buyer says the purchase was not recognised
→ eBay holds the funds
→ delivery stopped before the jacket reached the buyer

This happened to TC JAPAN on eBay. We remain sincerely grateful to the DHL staff who acted quickly enough to stop delivery.

Every bid disappears seconds before a ¥1 auction ends

“If I watch until the end, perhaps I can finally win it.”

Bids remain near closing time
→ all bids vanish in the final seconds
→ auction ends with no winner

Many of our customers have experienced this. Repeat customers tell us that last-second bid removals on ¥1 Yahoo! Auctions listings happen so often that they can feel like a culture of their own.

A 30-Second Cross-Border CHANEL Check

Review recent feedback and past listings, not only the percentage.

Check photographs of labels, lining, underarms, cuffs, hem and damage.

Ask about exact measurements, alterations and accessories before payment.

Check shipping coverage, customs responsibilities and the official dispute deadline.

If an item is missing or different, use the official process within its deadline.
