The all-white CHANEL look made for a historic stage
In January 2021, Jennifer Lopez performed at the inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. Her head-to-toe white CHANEL look accompanied a medley including “This Land Is Your Land” and “America the Beautiful.”
Time International listed the ecru-and-white fantasy tweed coat as Look 70 from Fall-Winter 2020/21 Ready-to-Wear. The sequined wide-leg trousers were Look 60, while the silk blouse was Look 58 from Fall-Winter 2019/20. CHANEL earrings, bracelets and a belt completed the ensemble.

When the CHANEL boutique was full, Jennifer simply moved on
A shopping afternoon in Istanbul produced an unexpected headline in August 2025. Security stopped Jennifer at a CHANEL boutique entrance and told her she could not come in.
Nikkan Sports reported that the shop was at capacity. Jennifer answered, “Okay, no problem,” and walked away. No demands, no scene—just a wonderfully unbothered exit.
The team reportedly invited her back later, but she continued shopping at Beymen and Celine. She did not chase the invitation, and she did not let the moment spoil her day. That calm confidence is difficult not to admire.
